Terms of Service

The rules of engagement for using our Service.

1. Introduction & Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Workspace Audit application (the "Service"), provided by AppsEvents ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. User Accounts & Responsibilities

To use the Service, you must authenticate using a Google Account. You represent and warrant that you are an authorized administrator of the Google Workspace environment you intend to scan.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google Account. Any activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Use of the Service

Permitted Use

You may use the Service to assess the security posture of Google Workspace environments for which you have administrative authorization.

Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Attempt to scan a Google Workspace environment that you do not have explicit permission to manage.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the Service.
  • Resell, sublicense, or distribute reports generated by the Service without our express written permission.

4. Service Tiers (Free vs. Pro)

The Service is offered in the following tiers, and we reserve the right to modify the features available in any tier at any time.

Free Tier

Subject to these Terms, you are granted access to a Free Tier, which is provided for evaluation purposes. The Free Tier is limited to:

  • One (1) security scan of your Google Workspace environment.
  • Five (5) calendar days of access to the detailed findings and remediation links for that single scan (the "Trial Period"), starting from the moment the scan is completed.

After the Trial Period expires, your access to the detailed results will be revoked, and you will only be able to view a high-level summary. Features such as PDF/CSV export, automated scanning, and advanced risk reports (e.g., Third-Party App and Google Group scans) are expressly excluded from the Free Tier.

Pro Tier

Access to the Pro Tier requires a paid subscription. A Pro Tier subscription grants you access to all features, including:

  • Unlimited on-demand security scans.
  • Automated daily or weekly security scans.
  • The Security Timeline and historical report data.
  • Advanced Risk Center reports (Third-Party Apps, Google Groups).
  • PDF and CSV data exports.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscriptions

Pro Tier features are billed on a subscription basis ("Subscription"). You will be billed in advance on a recurring and periodic basis (e.g., monthly or annually), as specified during checkout.

Auto-Renewal

Your Subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel it through your account management page or by contacting support. The cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable, except when required by law or at our sole discretion.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change our subscription fees. We will provide you with reasonable prior notice of any price changes to give you an opportunity to terminate your Subscription before such change becomes effective.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Important Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive to provide accurate and helpful information, AppsEDU makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the operation of the Service or the information, content, or materials included therein.

You expressly agree that your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The reports and recommendations provided by the Service do not constitute professional security advice and are for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee that the Service will identify all security risks or vulnerabilities, nor do we guarantee that implementing our recommendations will result in a completely secure system. You are solely responsible for the security of your Google Workspace environment.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall AppsEDU, its affiliates, directors, or employees, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage.

8. Service Availability and Modification

We reserve the right to withdraw, modify, or suspend the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable if, for any reason, all or any part of the Service is unavailable at any time or for any period.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any violation of these Terms.

You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by ceasing to use it. If you are a Pro Tier subscriber, you must cancel your Subscription as described in Section 5.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of AppsEDU and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United Kingdom and foreign countries.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be instituted exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
